Hi, in the process of doing research, I've found Google Books ot be immensely helpful. However, for many fo the books that I want ot look at, the graphic on top states that only the image is available.
Have any of you found a way around this?
Thanks!

HI Iris,

While I'm not sure how to get around the google books thing, (I'd be interested in knowing how to do that myself), I thought I'd get together a small list of sites I use for my own research recommended to me by the distance education university I attend. It's of course not exhaustive, but hopefully will go some way to helping while we figure this google thing out:

BUBL home page

Selected Internet resources covering all academic subject areas

Directory of open access journals

This service covers free, full text, quality controlled scientific and scholarly journals.

Intute Social Sciences

A free online service providing you with access to the very best Web resources for education and
research, evaluated and selected by a network of subject specialists.

The other stuff I use is just every day stuff like Encarta and the other encyclopedias, and Google of course. If I come across any more though I'll let you know or post it here.

HTH,
Simon
